Welcome to St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation where we believe in the ethical empowerment of everyone within our community by utilising physical activity and movement, in all its forms, as the engagement tool to achieve positive change.

Our home is based at St Mirren Park within the heart of Paisley in Renfrewshire. We are situated within an incredible community of Paisley called Ferguslie Park which is an area of severe deprivation, Ferguslie Park sits within the top 5% on the Scottish Index areas of multiple deprivation.

The people of Ferguslie Park face many challenges across all aspects of their daily lives and they alone have been the inspiration behind helping our team identify which socio-economic challenges we should identify as priority when creating community based programs and initiatives and deciding what our core values, goals and purposes should be.

We invested invaluable time engaging with many of our third sector partners within Renfrewshire and decided to focus on programs and activities which target improved education and employability, diversity and inclusion, health, fitness & well being and mental strength from using movement as medicine, all of these of course keeping the main ethos of Sport for change in mind.

Since our re-launch a very short time ago in November 2018 we have created some incredible initiatives for children, our Future Entrepreneurship educational program, for adults who are disconnected from society and experiencing the mental issues associated with loneliness, our Men’s Shed and the wonderful Festive Friends partnership and last but certainly not least our health and wellbeing program tackling obesity and mental fitness FFIT (Fit Fans In Training).

2019 is set to be an exciting year for the St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation as we look to develop our Women & Girls Mental Strength program with Glasgow University & to create and deliver new football based community programs for kids and adults of all ages as well as physical and mental abilities, there is a great deal to look forward to and this is only the beginning. The support we have been given by the board of St Mirren FC and the response we have received from the people within our community has inspired and motivated us to make big plans and to do our very best to achieve them, which of course we will.

As you will see from our video clips, presentations and media coverage these programs have already been hugely successful and have had an incredible impact on those who have benefited from participation. We thank you for your support and should you wish to find out more information about us, what we are up to and how to get involved or become part of the movement we can be contacted on the details below. Together we can make a difference.
