Sunday the 18th of September wasn’t just the day of St Mirren vs Celtic, it was also the Saints Go Marching In vs The Kiltwalk! Our team of 20 battled their way through the Mighty Stride in Edinburgh, passing through Musselburgh and Portobello Beach on their way to Murrayfield.

During the walk they encountered Dougie Johnson waving them on, a former St Mirren player who made history during his time with team. He is now living with his wife in Edinburgh and seeing our team in their stripes brought back a lot of fond memories for him. This is just one of many experiences the Saints Go Marching In team had throughout the walk.

Each of our team managed to finish the 21.3 miles in good spirits, despite the soreness, and laughs were shared over the meal at the end everyone was looking forward to.

We have so far managed to raise £4300 for our community projects and although the Kiltwalk has been completed by our team, donations are open until the 28th of September. Any further donations would be greatly appreciated!
