4-4-2 Is a literacy programme and reading challenge set out for children across the 26 participating primary schools of Renfrewshire and is held in partnership with the SPFL Trust, Scottish Book Trust & Scottish Library & Information Council.
The programme is to encourage sporty children to engage in more reading, and it encourages literate children to engage in sport.
Children are asked to read a book and fill along a 4-4-2 card supplied in the schools via the use of stamps. For every book read a stamp is collected. Once the stamped-full card is complete, they receive 2 matchday tickets to a nominated game.
